What Are Employer Volunteer Incentives?

Some employers offer programs that reward employees for volunteering. These programs may provide benefits such as paid time off (PTO) for volunteering or other workplace incentives.

Better Impact supports employer volunteer incentive programs through an integration with Double the Donation.

If your organisation has this feature enabled, you may be able to search for your employer and view information about their volunteer incentive program directly within the portal.

How to Set Your Employer

If the feature is enabled for your organisation:

  1. Go to My Profile.

  2. Select Employer Volunteer Incentives.

  3. Search for your employer.

  4. Review the information provided.

  5. Click Save to confirm your selection, or Cancel to discard changes.

On the My Impact Page (Browser)

In the App

My Profile > Employer Volunteer Incentives

Menu > My Profile > Employer Volunteer Incentives

When you search for your company, a description will be shown explaining what that employer offers.

If the organisation you are volunteering with does not have this feature enabled, you will see an error message when attempting to access it.

On the My Impact Page (Browser)

In the App

You can also access the employer search tool from:

  • The Opportunity Calendar

  • The Opportunity List

If you have already selected an employer, you will see an option to update it.
If you have not selected an employer, you will be invited to search for one.

What Happens When You Sign Up

If your organisation has this feature enabled and you are using an Individual profile, your registration information may be shared with Double the Donation when you:

  • Sign up for a shift

  • Are marked available

  • Are assigned to a shift

  • Are autoassigned to a shift

There is no option to opt out of this information being shared if the feature is enabled.

Registrations made using Group profiles are not shared.
